RSG Pakistan organized a symposium in collaboration with National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS) and weekly Technology Times that was attended by more than 30 students from 29 different institutions of Pakistan. Regional Student Group of Eastern Africa (RSG Eastern Africa) in collaboration with the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) , Biosciences eastern and central Africa (BecA), and the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) is organising a 10 day EMBO Global Exchange Lecture Course titled "Next Generation sequencing for Africa". The Course will take place from 31st August to 9th September at the African Institute for Capacity Development (AICAD) at Nairobi, Kenya
Regional Student Group (RSG) Pakistan was featured in the February 14-20, 2011 issue of the Weekly Technology Times, Pakistan’s newspaper on science and technology. The first North Africa, Portugal and Spain Student Symposium on Bioinformatics(NPS3Bio) was held on October 26, in Malaga (Spain) as a special session within the X Jornadas de Bioinformática (Workshop on Bioinformatics for Personalized Medicine). The meeting report describes the variety of invited talks, student talks and posters presented during the meeting.
