In the spring of 2008 the ISCB Student Council asked highly motivated bioinformatics students to join our team for the DREAM 2008 network reconstruction competition! The team is mentored and advised by a senior researcher and expert in the field of network reverse engineering, Dr Alberto de la Fuente, who currently is a group leader at CRS4 Bioinformatica in Italy.

The DREAM team is a unique opportunity for students from across the world to participate in an international, high-profile research competition. The members of the DREAM Team are located in the United States, the Netherlands, Australia, Spain and Italy and collaborate and network under the guidance of Dr de la Fuente.

The five team members were selected from over 30 applicants in a very competitive application process. All team members received a one year ISCB membership sponsored by the ISCB Student Council.
