Preceding this year's NBIC conference, the Regional Student Group (RSG) Netherlands, a network for young scientists in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, organizes a PhD retreat. The goal of the retreat is to initiate and stimulate scientific discussion as well as collaboration between PhD students. We will have a workshop on “Theater Skills for Presenting Science”, an opportunity for you to present your work in an elevator pitch, and social activities like dart and Wii tournaments.

You can register for the retreat together with your registration for the NBIC conference. Registration costs are 50 euro; this includes the retreat and the overnight stay in a double room. For the elevator pitch, please provide us with a Powerpoint slide about the poster you will be presenting at the NBIC Conference. You can also make a slide of the complete poster, as long as it is fairly readable. This slide can be submitted through the registration form.
