Dear young researcher!
You are cordially invited to join this year's RSG retreat for young scientists in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology organized by the Regional Student Group (RSG) Netherlands. Our retreat precedes the NBIC conference and provides a good start for this event by giving you the chance to get to know other young researchers in the field and to initiate scientific discussion.
During the retreat there will be a workshop “Getting Funded” given by Professor Ritsert Jansen, who will give us valuable insights, tips and tricks on how to write successful research proposals.
Furthermore, Professor Phil Bourne, Editor-in-Chief of PLoS Computational Biology, author of over 200 articles and 5 books and co-founder of 4 companies, will give a talk about his career path. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions in this more informal setting.
