Yamil is currently a Ph.D. student at the Translational Immuno-Oncology Laboratory in the Institute of Biology and Experimental Medicine (IBYME-CONICET) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and is also finishing Bioinformatics as his second bachelor’s degree. His research project is focused on the study of biomarkers of resistance and response to targeted therapies and immunotherapies in melanoma using an integrative approach that involves immunology, functional genomics, bioinformatics, and computational biology. In 2018 he was awarded a travel fellowship from the ISCB Student Council to attend and present his work in the ISCB Student Council Symposium within the ISMB 2018 in Chicago, USA, where he also participated in the organization as a volunteer. Since 2019, Yamil joined the Web Committee helping in the backend of the Student Council’s websites.
